A Seminole man, who, in May of 2015, robbed a 13-year-old Andrews teen at gunpoint, and later in the day fired a gun at officers during a high-speed police pursuit in town before being apprehended by police, was sentenced on charges stemming from the incident during a recent hearing in 109th District Court.

The Permian Basin Chapter, National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, held its April meeting on Tuesday, April 19th in the Friends Room of the Andrews County Library at 1:00 in the afternoon. Hostesses for the meeting were Deborah Moran and Vlinda Link. The program for the meeting was to honor the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C., in Arlington National Cemetery.
