As Andrews and the rest of the United States approach six months into the virus pandemic (has it already been a half year) that suddenly appeared around mid-March, many have perhaps become somewhat acclimated to the new norm that arrived with it.
It’s not that the events that began around spring break in Andrews don’t seem life changing, but rather now a sense of familiarity has settled in over time.
The most difficult aspect is that eight lives with links to the virus have been lost. On the flip side, 236 local residents have recovered from COVID-19.
