Varner, Ellison win Shriners Open’ top flight fueled by a 54

The golfing combo of Brooke Varner and Coy Ellison came out of the blocks on fire with an eyepopping 16-under par 54 Saturday to jump in front of the pack in the 2020 West Texas Shriners and win the championship flight. Second place in the top flight went to the team of Brett Holly and Dylan Dockery and third place belonged to Benny Granger and David Carruth. The big winner in the first flight was the team of Daniel Vasquez and Ronnie Martinez, followed in second by Luke Smith and Lynn Fisher plus Brandon Collins and Timmy Fuentes settled for third.

Carbajal, Flores, Gortney and Ward win Little Suzie

The foursome of Denise Carbajal, DeAnna Flores, Amy Ward and Jamie Gortney were the overall championship flight grosswinners of the 2020 Little Suzie Golf Classic held in Andrews. Second place in gross went to the combo of Carol Snider, Sonya Robb, Diana Connolly and Paula Sommers. Also, in the championship flight, the combo of Lettia Collins, Lacy Gasser, Debbie Peden and Findley were the net winners. Second place went to the team of Emily Wilson, Bev Wright, Shelly Fort and Susan Roberts and Rachel Trevino, Linda Nelson, Cecilia Holly and Michelle Acosta finished third.
