The battle for a regional berth, and hopefully a state berth, for the Andrews Mustangs golf program took its first step Wednesday at the Rockwind Golf Course in Hobbs and, all in all – it was not bad.

Lady Mustangs 7th win own track meet; 8th place 2nd

The Andrews Lady Mustangs 7th ‘A’ track team won their own AMS Relays with 258 points while the Andrews 8th girls settled for second with 206 points. The 8th ‘B’ team girls netted 28 points and the 7th ‘B’ Fillies scored 22.

Alexys Cornejo goes yard twice in one-side 9 to 1 league win over FS

With Andrews sophomore Alexys Cornejo knocking two balls over the fence, and adding a double and a single to go a perfect 4 for 4 at the plate, plus Jacee Johnson and Rose Hernandez taking care of pitching duties, the Lady Mustangs took down Fort Stockton by a 9-1 noncompetitive score.

Morrison, Vasquez win gold to lead Floyd’s track girls to solid showing

A gold medal and bronze medal showing by freshman Mikylee Morrison, and a top finish by sophomore Lauren Vasquez, paved the way to a strong showing for the Andrews Lady Mustangs track team at the alwaystough San Angelo Relays Friday and Saturday.
