On a special night set aside to recognize a group of seniors who accepted the challenge of starting a firstyear program and taking it from uncharted territory into memories of a lifetime, the varsity Andrews Lady Mustangs soccer team fell to a very talented Lake View squad 6-0 here Tuesday. Coupled with their loss to Greenwood in the previous game, this loss knocked Coach Haley Arruda’s squad from the playoffs.

Despite what some people that walk the golf links might think, the Andrews Lady Mustangs golf program has built a reputation of being one of the best in Texas on how they play not just for showing up. Competing in the 4A Region I Preview at Shadow Hills in Lubbock Friday and Saturday, both the Andrews ‘Black’, led by medalist champion Kyleigh McGowen, and Andrews ‘Gold’ finished first and second to just add to their reputation.

The Andrews Mustangs dropped four of five baseball games at the Tournament of Champions in Midland to stay just one game over .500 at 6-wins and 5-losses for the season.

After posting four wins in each of their first two tournament at Medina Valley and Midland, the Andrews Lady Mustangs dropped three of five at the Brownfield Classic Thursday through Saturday.
