An appointed official with the county was arrested last week on a state jail felony charge pertaining to not reporting abuse or neglect of a child, according to a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman.
Cory Marshall, the county’s chief juvenile probation officer, was apprehended by a DPS officer May 17 and charged with fail to report: abuse/ neglect child state facility, county jail records show.
Marshall’s arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred Nov. 15, 2018, involving his wife’s alleged threat of a child, Midland DPS Sergeant Oscar Villarreal said.
