Pipes excels in hurdles against mostly 6A and 5A field

Andrews High School hurdler Jonathan Pipes proved to be the best in the 110 hurdles and almost duplicated his performance in the 300 hurdles with a second at the mostly 6A and 5A Pirate Relays at Lubbock Cooper to lead the Mustang track boys to a thirdplace team finish at the 10-team meet.

Fisher leads Andrews boys all-district basketball selections with first-team honors

As the playoff-making fourth best team in 3-4A, the Andrews Mustangs, with senior Jett Fisher making first-team All-District and Brycen Diaz (senior) and Kade Adams (junior) earning second-team honors, ended up with the fourth most overall players honored.

Williamson’ golf program dominates in own Andrews Classic

The top two Andrews High School boys golf teams of Coach Jeff Williamson, the Black and the Gold, swept the team honors finishing first and second in their own Andrews Golf Classic Friday and Saturday, while the ‘White’ team did themselves proud with a solid eighth place finish.
