7th boys place 2nd

The Andrews 7 grade track trio of Rylan Diaz (two), Rocky Stephens and Jaesean Debouse won gold medals at their own Andrews Classic to place second behind Greenwood (204) with 187 points. The AMS 1600 relay of Stephens, Makai Hernandez, Raider Harvey and Kaden Mendoza also won gold medals.

The top Andrews Mustangs boys’ (Black) golf team posted team rounds of 360 in horrible winds Friday and came back with a 324 Saturday for a 684 total to settle for third place in their own 10-team Andrews Classic.

Wells signs to play for LCU

A multiple sports athlete with plenty of talent to go around, Hanna Wells always knew her first love was softball.

Volleyball was second! After biting her time to one day play for the Andrews Lady Mustangs, once between the lines it didn’t take long for Wells to make a name for herself.

As a freshman, Wells not only manned the catcher’s spot but she excelled at it enough to earn 1st-team All-District honors her first season of playing for Coach Darren Pool’s program.

She has been going at 1000 MPH ever since.

Andrews 8th boys & girls track teams win own meet

The Andrews Middle School 8 th boys netted 204 team points and the Lady Mustangs 8 th had 199 to sweep their own AMS track meet recently.
